Flameheart (formerly "Flame" or "Flame that Burns Blood") is a long-furred dark ruddy ticked she-cat, boasting purebred somali lineage.

Info

A warrior of WillowClan, this young warrior serves her Clan faithfully after formerly leading a rogue group known as The DarkMasters and an unusually short apprentice training period supervised by Skyshadow and Brambleheart, who are like surrogate parents to her. She is owned and roleplayed by Hawkblossom45 but was created by RowanSpark.

Flameheart isn't officially mated, but her best friend and crush Scorchclaw is extremely close to her; the two are inseparable.

Description

Physical

With a stocky, muscular build and relatively short limbs, Flameheart stands just below the average height for a feline in terms of stature. The warrior's plumy tail, thick, ruddy ticked fur, and mint-green willow leaf-colored eyes- as sharp as a hawk's- mark her as a somali, boasting purebread ancestors and a pedigree linage.

Flameheart's rectangular head and small muzzle are accented long, silky ears, which stick up like a fox's, and white whiskers, giving the young she-cat a kind of beauty in her own right.

But it's her thick, lustrous pelt, which is a red-brown in color, that draws attention. A ticked coat of ginger fades to a dark, silvery cream only on Flameheart's muzzle and chest, while her tail, and paws are hinted with rowan-brown and black shading, almost like scorch marks of the flames she was named for. A single stripe of the same shade reaches down her spine and up towards her head, almost creating a signature tabby "M" on the feline's forehead.

History

Backstory

Flameheart was found by Skyshadow, who would later become her adopted mother, injured after a badger attack with the smell of rouges on her pelt. Only Swiftshadow and Skyshadow trusted her, in the early days. Little did they know how right the rest of the Clan was to dislike the murderer-to-be. Flameheart did not know that her real parents were Fang, a deceased tom, and Scar.

Flameheart was never really trusted by the other cats. She became friends with Scorchpaw, a cat similar in origin to herself. Flameheart, then Flamepaw, didn't know that Scorchpaw was deeply in love with her and that he wanted her more than anything. Making friends with Storm That Rages The Sky, her aunt's- Swiftshadow's- great-grandaughter, Flamepaw had two friends who trusted her with their lives. Near the end of her apprentice training, Flamepaw was once saved by Crookedflower after she was poisoned by an adder while patrolling. Flameheart had survived many injuries- some that she had brought upon herself- and fought hard to prove all the Clan cats that she belonged- but it was in vain. Wraught with sadness, rage, and regret, Flamepaw had dark, twisted dreams of a bloody, 'glorious' future and began to secretly train with her real mother, Scar, in her sleep.

Bitter and fed up with distrust from her Clanmates, Flamepaw's malicious subconcious began to feed a darker side, a murderer side, the monster she was to become. Seemly possessed by the dark side of her created by her, Flamepaw killed Storm, one of her only allies in this world, in the young warrior's sleep- but the gray she-cat was brought back to life, warned by an ancient WillowClan leader about what Flamepaw might become. Mistystar, WillowClan's leader, began to get suspicious. But it was the 'accidental' murder of Firepaw, Mistystar's beloved niece and apprentice, that finally broke the leader's patience and the colorpoint she-cat drove Flamepaw to exile. Unbeknownst to Mistystar, Flamepaw had also killed Shadepaw, a ThornClan tom that loved her.

Seething with fury, Flamepaw slunk out of the territory- but was ambushed by Lilypaw, who was driven to desperation by Firepaw's murder and had sworn to get vengeance for her sister's death. Flamepaw's trained claws leapt to her subconcious's immediate suggestion: kill. She left her victim lying in the dust, dead.

Flamepaw, chased by Stormpaw and Scorchpaw, formed a rogue group: the DarkMasters. Gradually, Flamepaw's former allies in the Clans began to join her, and she declared herself leader and Scorchpaw, renamed Scorch that Works with Fire, her deputy. Changing her name to Flame that Burns Blood, or Flame, the exiled apprentice copied the nature of the names of the Ancient Tribe, who she had heard stories about from the elders when she was but a kit. She gave herself an apprentice, Wolf, while in the rogue group, after her best friend Stormpaw- renamed Storm that Rages the Sky- had five kits: Blossom Glowing in the Sunset, or Blossom, Ember that Rises from Ashes, or Ember, Wolf that Runs in Darkness, or Wolf, Gale of the Thundering Storm, or Gale, and Crow That Flies at Night, or Crow.

Vowing to wreak vengeance on the Clan that exiled her, Flame began to train herself, the kits, and her Masters harder and harder, preparing for war...

Before they went to battle, Flameheart met her father, Fang, and is told that Scar was the one who wronged her the whole time. Instead of fighting the Clans, Flameheart completed the prophecy that had been told to Storm by Graystar, defeating Scar, who wanted to end all Clans and begin a merciless rule. Flame killed Scar after the striped she-cat killed Skyshadow, who was more a mother to Flameheart (then Flamepaw) then Scar had ever been or ever would be. They part as daughter and mother.

Wraught with grief and with Scar's lifeblood on her ginger paws, Flameheart runs away and Scorchclaw follows, confessing his love.

They go back to join WillowClan, both apprentices' true Clan. The former leader of The DarkMasters recieved her warrior name Flameheart, along with the rest of her Masters, after being trained by Brambleheart, who died later in a fox attack. She was trusted enough to get Wolfpaw back as her apprentice, while Gale and Ember had run off with Bass, a former Master, to the Icekeepers.

Relationships & Friends

Family

Scar

Flameheart respected her mother and always did her best to please her, but she realized her mother wronged her and killed her with that ever-supressed burning hatred after the vicious rogue murdered Skyshadow.

Fang

A father that would do his best for his daughter. Fang wasn't always an authority figure in the young she-cat's eventful life, but he chose the right path in the end and Flameheart respects him for it.

Skyshadow

Flameheart loves her adopted mother and shared her problems with Skyshadow. She grieved for her surrogate mother's death deeply and took revenge by killing the vicious Scar in the terrible battle between WillowClan and the DarkMasters.

Brambleheart

Flameheart is proud of her former mentor and grieved when he died; he was the closest thing she had to a father for most of her life.

Swiftshadow

To Flameheart, Swiftshadow has always been an energetic, feisty, loyal aunt always ready to defend her niece. Skyshadow's best friend was always destined to be Flameheart's too.

Friends

Scorchclaw

Even with issues that had happened in the past, Flameheart hangs out with the dark tabby tom. Flameheart thinks of Scorchclaw as a “special friend”, but after his confession of love to her, he's something more: her mate.

Stormsong

Flamepaw is best friends with the gray she-cat. But Flame That Burns Blood killed her because a voice told her so. They made up and are now friends again, although Stormsong suffers from flashbacks and horrible memories.

Wolfpaw

Flame cares for her former and current apprentice, but was twisted with confusion and hatred when he became friends with the former deputy of her current Clan, Rainsplash. But the younger tom helped her to find who she really was, not a murderer, a broken cat, a monster, but a loyal cat capable of love, humor, and vigilance. He helped her rise from the dark, creeping shadows that were her guilt, shame, and anger.

Nightfire

Ever since the tom deserted his adopted Clan to be with her in The DarkMasters, Flameheart liked Nightfire. A bit of respect on both sides were part of their relationship, although the love that comes with mate-hood never was- Scorchclaw was always meant to be Flameheart's forever partner. After Nightfire's death in the vicious battle between the DarkMasters and WillowClan, Flameheart has been haunted by flashbacks of the midnight black tom who was so loyal to her.

Dewshine, Mothfeather and Dawnrise

Flameheart's girls-only group!

Other

The DarkMasters

Flameheart was always proud of them all, and she is always comforted by memories of how she was leader with her Masters always and forever by her side.

Shadespirit

Flameheart first met with the tom to try to find weaknesses... but after she learned the former ThornClan apprentice wanted to be with her, she killed him. To this day Flameheart doesn't know why- maybe it was the ever-supressed rage that came with being in a Clan who didn't trust her, maybe it was a sudden urge to spill blood. But it was a mistake nonetheless; Shadepaw, named Shadespirit in the Place of No Stars, began to train with Scar. But when the hour of fighting on WillowClan's territory had passed, Shadespirit repented- perhaps curbed by the vicious show of Scar's malicious intent. Friends again, Shadespirit passed on to StarClan.

Coalblaze

Flameheart met her deputy’s brother once, and showed him that a she-cat could kill him- quite graphically, too. The black tom did survive, but with several injuries.

Ripplepool

Flameheart just hates the medicine cat. They had an awkwardness when she joined the Clan again, and Ripplepool never really became any closer than duty demanded to the rogue-turned-warrior.

Sunnyshine and Rivergaze

They are just some more prey for her to kill. In Flameheart's eyes, strength is power, and a show of it gives you a better reputation.

Beth Crowley- Battle Cry (Official Lyric Video)

Battle Cry- Beth Crowley

"Battle Cry" by Beth Crowley is the song I chose to describe Flameheart's backstory, personality, and demeanor. It portrays her deep, hidden regret, self-doubt, and former cold-hearted character, but also captures her survivor disposition and fierce loyalty, pride, and fighting attitude.
