Saltycurrent is a grey tabby tom with striking aqua eyes.

Physical[]
Saltycurrent is of thick build, despite being born a kittypet. He's a bit bigger then average, and completely dwarfs his apprentice Sweetpaw. His grey striped tabby fur blends in easily with the many rocks around SeaClan's shore. His eyes are probably the most striking feature about him, and they stick out like a sore thumb due to their uncommon shade. His eyes resemble pale beach glass, and appear to be a powder blue with the faintest hues of green surrounding his pupils.
The tom carries a feathered tail that happens to be a bit too heavy to lift too high, or at least too heavy to lift for long periods of time. As a twoleg toy, he was frequently brushed, but as a cat living on the bluffs of SeaClan...he certainly suffers the consequences. Seldom does Saltycurrent swim, for the medicine cat finds the knots created by sea and wind to be a nightmare.
Personality[]
Like most stereotypical medicine cats fed up with the life he was force-fed (or so he describes it), Saltycurrent regards his duty with a sort of bitter resentment. As a result, he's traditionally aloof towards his clanmates and answers their questions with short, sharp responses that make them appear like complete fools. The icy feline is certainly capable of being kind, but he's generally unhappy with the lifestyle he was given. He finds himself frequently suffering from claustrophobia and longs for the warrior lifestyle that he left his twoleg nest in search of. So-called "destiny" is his worst enemy, and StarClan? An afterlife he is beginning to lack faith in.
The tom is imaginative and is equipped with an abstract mind-set. These skills might seem suitable for a medicine cat, but Saltycurrent is mediocre at best, mostly due to his stubborn nature and refusal to accept this lifestyle. Deep down, he is capable of being kind, but he's restless and therefore happy to take his rage out on his clanmates. He might seem tough, but he is spineless in the fact that he will not come to terms with fate, and protest the position he was forcefully assigned. He believes himself to be "discriminated against" due to his kittypet background: forced to be a medicine cat, and deemed too soft to be a warrior. Saltycurrent is secretly ambitious, but somewhat uncomfortable in proving this to his clan. In short, he's a tom in a pickle.
History[]
Background[]
Saltycurrent was once a kittypet named "Fitz" that lived the high-end life under rich twolegs that traveled frequently. They vacationed in the SeaClan area often, which was where the kittypet grew ambitious and adventurous, eager to join the clans. However, after he left his home, Seastar forced him to become a medicine cat out of desperation for having the role filled. The clan claimed that it was StarClan's will- destiny, if you may.
Seastar had been a kittypet herself, but nonetheless, Saltycurrent deemed the act a form of discrimination. He was resentful towards the clan, but accepted the role nonetheless (out of fear that they'd deny him entrance otherwise). He has since been serving the clan bitterly for several moons. Eventually, he found himself an apprentice: Sweetpaw. Once he was granted the young she-cat as his trainee, he was eager to pawn the position off onto her, so that he could retire as a warrior, as he had always wanted to be.
